Black Hat Newsroom
Group announce
Glenn Cartledge
as new Sales Director |
13th Oct 2008 |
We have recently appointed Glenn Cartledge as Group Sales Director. The Group which includes Tanks & Containers , Black Hat Systems and H20 Water Management stated that " we where looking for an experienced business director with exceptional vision and extensive experience in construction product sales, specifically Drainage and Plastics and on all of these counts Glenn fitted the bill ideally and we are delighted to have him on board. Glenn will head up a team of sales and technical managers in both companies leading the drive for market growth in all sectors of our business.
Glenn has spent over 30 years in the Construction Industry working in senior management positions with major builders merchants groups such as the Ferguson Group and Hall & Co before testing himself with both a small independent operation and his own business in the more specialist drainage market. This business was integrated in to the even more specialist plastic distributor Floline which itself was purchased by the W T Burden.
The last seven years of his career have been spent with the highly successful Saint Gobain Building Distribution Group (SGBD), initially as part of the senior management team responsible for establishing Frazer as a leading distributor of civil engineering materials across the country, both as Sales Director and then Business Development Director, before being asked to establish a completely new brand for SGBD - a specialist above and below ground plastics distributor which was successfully launched in August 2007 under the SG Plastics banner.
Glenn comments "I left a key role at Saint Gobain to join this business and am very excited about the massive opportunities our portfolio of innovative products is able to provide to our customers. It is unusual in a small company to find such strong brands like the Geoceptor, Silt Guardian and Modulus ranges already establishing a strong position in the market place, and has a Board with the vision to continue to invest in new product development, even in these difficult times. As an example, the Aquarius Rainwater Harvesting System is just one of the products which are being continually refined and once again this will become an established brand within the water management market. With other exciting new products being developed and tested ready for launch in the New Year, there couldn't be a better time to be part of this expanding business."
Modulus Treatment Plant
producing some excellent discharge results | 13th Oct 2008 |
|
Our Modulus Treatment plant range is continuing to produce exceptional results. Group Chairman Damone Armstrong states“ As well as the positive results we are achieving from our ongoing testing at the Cerib testing facilty in France which will eventually give our modulus a prestigious CE mark, we have set up an national sampling regime in the UK for ongoing sampling of our Modulus Plants. We have randomly identified an extensive range of installed plants with a range of loadings from 1,200 litres per day to 10,000 litres per day. All the plants must have been installed for at least 3 months to give the necessary effective working result. On the whole with the exception of some rogue installations that have been installed in combined sewer situations the feedback and results have proven extremely positive. The average BOD levels are over 95% ILE with suspended solids at less than 25mg/l and Nitrogen at around 12mg/l which is well below the UK and European discharge requirements. These results gave us the positive springboard to launch a further range of Modulus Plants to 20,000 litres per day loading. To date this year we had exceeded our forecasted sales for the year by August and we are delighted with our growing Modulus Distributor network. We are totally committed to our sampling regime and will continue this throughout each year to keep on top of our results, so as we can provide our clients with the best of products. Sales forecast for next year exceed 1,000 units including new distributors in Ireland and mainland Europe”. We estimate this will give us 10% of the UK market. As well as the standard Modulus plant we are also seeing quite a growth in sales of our Retro Upgrade System”.
